About
Welcome to this space where I process life, what I am learning, and what I am reading. For the last 12 years, my husband and I have lived overseas serving with two great humanitarian organizations-first in Central Asia and then in West Africa. Currently we are in the process of transitioning back to the states. Our plan is to live in an RV for the next year as we work and visit family and friends.
We have two children plus a son in love. Our children live in California. Our daughter works as a sign language interpretator and her husband is in sales. Our son is studying photography. You might even see a photo or two of his. You can check out his work at david fouts.com The header on my home page is his work.
What about me? I love being a child of God, a wife, a mom to adult children, and a teacher of the Bible and Mathematics. In this season, I am exploring online teaching opportunities and taking time to reconnect with family and friends. You will often find me taking long walks, reading, or working on a home project.
What does God have for me as I learn to live in the States again? I have no idea, but it will be here at TJ’s Musings that I share my journey, my struggles and what I am learning. I love to write about how God’s word is challenging and changing me. Just writing about what I am learning helps me to dig deeper into what God is teaching me. Of course, you also might find a few posts about the books I am reading. My prayer is all who visit this place will be encouraged in their faith and challenged to take another step on the journey God has for them.
