School is in full swing. In fact, next week we are sending out progress reports. Slowly the students are getting use to their new teachers. I am loving my classes at least for now and my children seem to enjoying their classes. Here are a few of the blogs that I liked this month.
From Desiring God, Fight the Poverty of Attention got my attention. Okay that was a little lame. I love reading blogs and skimming google news but this blog has a point about the length of our attention spans. This was a reminder for me to keep trying to read the harder books and things that take some thought and effort. My mind needs to stay disciplined to have the attention needed to do what God wants me to do.
Also from Desiring God is a blog about Nine Ways the Gospel Transforms Marriage. Actually the nine ways would transform any relationship. “Because of the Gospel…”
Quote from the first blog post. “It’s the people I love the most that will start getting my worst when I say yes to too many people.” And from the second. “Distracted by one thing, I was missing out seeing many right things.” Words I needed to hear as things get busier and life doesn’t always go as planned.
Lastly from InCourage, Tsh writes about Making Friends with Imperfect People. Great reminders for any season especially the transitional ones.
