Hot Water Bottles

Hot water bottles are one of the nicest inventions around at least where we live. We don’t have heat in our bedrooms so a hot water bottle does a great job of keeping our bed toasty. The only trouble is that someone has to heat the water and fill the bottles. Ideally if you want your bed just right when you get in it, you need to have the hot water bottle in your bed 30 minutes before bedtime. June Fuentes at Wise Woman has a great post on priorities and what we do with our day. She uses Titus 2 as a guideline as she points out that after God, our husbands should be our priority. A good question for us to ask ourselves is what task can I do today that will show my love for my husband. This question brought me back to the hot water bottles. I may not get it done perfectly but I am going to do a better job of getting those hot water bottles done in a timely matter. At least it’s a start in the right direction.

Dear God, Thank you for your word and the guidelines you have given us. Thank you for a husband who loves me and the kids. Help me to show my love for you and my husband through my daily tasks. Amen
