Making mention of you in my prayers
I would have loved to have Paul for a friend. He was always making mention of his friends in his prayers, praying that God would strengthen them and show Himself to them. In Philemon, Paul writes, ” I always thank God when I mention you in my prayers, because I hear about the love you have for all God’s holy people and the faith you have in the Lord Jesus. I pray that the faith you share may make you understand every blessing you have in Christ. ( Phil 1: 4-6) “
Father,
I make mention of my sister and her husband as they work diligently to bring your word to a people who seem to ignore it. Strengthen and encourage them through your word. May they see the fruit of what you are doing there.
I make mention of the pastors of my church who have a vision for the lost and challenge us to do have the same. Give them insight and strength for the task.
I make mention of my parents and their faithfulness to a struggling church. Bring warriors alongside them to fight the good fight. Bring a shepherd for their church.
I make mention of my friends who encourage me and love me the way I am. You know their needs.
I make mention of my inlaws who are working creatively in their church to bring in the lost. May they feel your presence in their midst.
In your name,
Amen
